RedRoute's August Product Release included Advanced Location Handling, Vehicle Type, and updated No-IVR features. In addition, there was added portal functionality allowing fleet filtering and updated settings.

What is the script dialogue of the menu presenting the vehicle options to the end user?

The user schedules a ride through our system through the standard process. After scheduling the ride for the caller, they are asked whether they would like to request a specific vehicle type for their ride. If they indicate they do, they are given the option to choose from the vehicle types inputted into your systems portal. If they select a vehicle, we update the booking with that vehicle type. If they select a vehicle and there is a price increase, we notify them of the price increase for them to confirm. If confirmed, we update the booking with that vehicle type.

How long of a script can you put into field instructions #2 in advanced locations?

The field “Instructions Part II” is limited to 50 characters. “Instructions to Driver” are limited to 100 characters.

Can you bypass the canned responses?

Currently, the canned responses must be used to create prompts for your callers. These canned responses will be expanded and more flexibility will be added in the future.

How does vehicle type price increase work?

In vehicle type configurations, the price increase field allows you to communicate your fleet’s price increases to the customer when they are selecting vehicle types. Our system takes the default price increase in your dispatch system to apply to the actual price of the ride.

I added a prompt to my advanced locations group, but some of the fields are greyed out. Am I doing something wrong?

Not at all! For certain prompts, such as passenger’s first name, there are no options to present the customer or instructions to give based on their input. It is simply a prompt for their first name. If you would like to add instructions in addition to this prompt, you can add “General Instructions” as a prompt to add customer or driver instructions.

I created a group, but now I don’t see it. What happened?

It is important that after you create your advanced location group(s), you save & apply the changes. That is true for all configurations: changes do not automatically update, it is important to save when you are finished!
